Free PDF and Word Resources That Are Rationalised and Aligned with TPAD
Helping You Plan Better in Pre-Primary 2
PP2 lesson plans are slightly more advanced than those in PP1. Learners are more expressive, confident, and eager to do things on their own. That means your lesson plans need to support more structure —while keeping the learning playful and interactive.
This page gives you exactly that.
All our PP2 CBC lesson plans follow the 2023 rationalised curriculum structure issued by the Ministry of Education. We’ve organised the plans into Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3 to save you hours of prep. Everything is editable, follows the official KICD curriculum designs, and is free to download.
Whether you teach in a public or private ECDE centre, these lesson plans are ready to use.
What Our PP2 Lesson Plans Include
- Weekly plans for all three terms
- Fully rationalised learning areas based on CBC
- Activities tailored to the child’s age and stage
- Word (editable) and PDF (printable) formats
- Daily structure with learning outcomes and assessments
You focus on teaching—we’ve handled the structure.
PP2 Rationalised Learning Areas (MoE, 2023)
The Ministry simplified the CBC for Early Years to only the most essential learning areas for holistic development. PP2 includes:
1. Language Activities
Support early literacy through storytelling, sound games, and expressive conversation.
2. Mathematics Activities
Hands-on number games using objects like pebbles and bottle tops build foundational numeracy.
3. Environmental Activities
Covers hygiene, plants, weather, nutrition, and caring for nature—things children experience in daily life.
4. Creative and Psychomotor Activities
Drawing, singing, dancing, modelling, and movement help with expression, fine motor skills, and coordination.
5. Religious Activities
Children learn values like honesty and kindness through stories, songs, prayers, and reflection circles.
Why Planning Matters in PP2
Lesson planning in PP2 helps you:
- Reinforce independence, curiosity, and communication
- Create calm, predictable classroom routines
- Guide transitions into Lower Primary expectations
- Document progress and meet TPAD requirements
- Build a safe, inclusive space for learners
Good plans don’t limit you—they give you more room to teach confidently.
How the Lessons Are Structured
Each PP2 lesson plan follows the CBC lesson format, with:
- 30–40 minute sessions split between morning and mid-morning blocks
- Routines like handwashing, transitions, and welcome songs
- Simple tools (stones, charts, paper, crayons)
- Observation-based assessment techniques
- Cross-cutting values and age-appropriate competencies
Every activity—from threading beads to group storytelling—supports one or more CBC learning outcomes.
